ARTS AND CRAFTS
The hall includes everything revolving around furnishing a wealthy household from the 16th to the 18th century.
The impressive tiled oven from Schloss Würting, valuable furniture, the dinner table from the Schwanenstadt find, ceramics, valuable glasses and the unique giant chess set from Schloss Weinberg are evidence of that joie de vivre that can also be seen in the large painting of aristocratic society clad in all its finery.
Highlights of the hall are the Flemish Renaissance tapestry with ostrichs and the (probably originally designed for the walls) ceiling paintings from Würting with the symbolic allegories (personifications) of European countries. The magical garden figures by rococo sculptor Ferdinand Tietz also came from the same castle.
